In this tutorial we will introduce you to searching the internet for genetic information. We want to familiarize you with the analysis of this genetic information, in particular, the analysis of variations (alleles) in common genes.

We will explore websites and on-line tools relating to Sickle Cell Anemia and the protein Hemoglobin. We will see how a small change in the gene encoding hemoglobin can lead a dramatic structural consequences for the hemoglobin protein product.
