Culture and Quality Control of Human ES Cells

H9 human ES cells were cultured as recommended by the WiCell Institute (www.wicell.org). We also tested them by immunohistochemistry for characteristic stem cell markers, their ability to generate cell types from all three germ layers upon differentiation into embryoid bodies and their ability form teratomas in immunocompromised mice.
